Darren Starwynn, Dipl. Ac., O.M.D. has over 20 years experience in the healing arts, and is an expert on electro-therapeutic pain management and color light vibrational medicine. Darren has integrated extensive study of traditional Chinese, Japanese and German acupuncture with bodywork and modern electronics. He has taught seminars throughout North America, Europe and Asia over the past 15 years. He is the developer of the Acutron devices and techniques.


Teri E. Sherman, B.S., D.C. has spent the past 26 years studying, practicing and teaching Alternative Medicine including Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Rehab Exercise, Anatomy and Physiology and Reiki. Twenty-two of those years have been spent utilizing Microcurrent Therapies both for Pain Management and Facial Rejuvenation. As a Trainer and Teacher for Microcurrent Research for the past 5 years, Dr. Teri enjoys sharing her experience with practitioners around the country. A native of New York, Dr. Teri came to Phoenix, AZ in 1987. She has taught at Southwest Naturopathic College in Tempe, Arizona and Rainstar University in Scottsdale, Arizona. Natasha Lane is a Clinical Supervisor and Instructor at Southwest Acupuncture College, Santa Fe, NM and a former Instructor at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California. For 8 years she has worked in clinical education sharing acupuncture techniques and knowledge entrusted to her from her teachers. Since graduating from Southwest Acupuncture College, she has completed several extended periods of post-graduate study including clinical internships at Beijing University of TCM and Tong Ren Hospital, China.  She has traveled extensively in Asia and feels blessed to have had the unique opportunity to study with some of China’s foremost practitioners. She has an interest in Mind, Body Medicine and is currently exploring how Qigong and meditation can positively impact health and well being. She has worked with cancer patients from UCLA hospital using acupuncture and adjunct therapies for those facing challenging health issues. She specializes in neurological disorders, pain management, and stress related pathologies. Natasha lectures nationally on topics related to pain management and electro-therapy.


JAKE PAUL FRATKIN, OMD, L.Ac.
Following undergraduate degrees in Chinese language and philosophy at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Fratkin trained in Korean and Japanese acupuncture starting in 1975, in Chicago, and began clinical practice in 1978, in Madison, Wisconsin. In 1980 he began his education in traditional Chinese herbal medicine, which included ten months advanced training in China at several traditional hospitals. Dr. Fratkin has been teaching at various acupuncture colleges since 1982 and was Department Chairman of Herbal Medicine, Southwest Acupuncture College, Santa Fe. He is a practitioner and teacher of taijiquan and qigong, which he has followed since 1974. He is the author of Chinese Herbal Patent Medicines, The Clinical Desk Reference..
Dr. Fratkin is currently in private practice in Boulder, Colorado, where he combines Chinese herbal medicine, Japanese meridian balancing acupuncture, and nutritional medicine. He specializes in internal disorders, infections and pediatrics.


Marion Bodner, as a first generation aesthetician has provided a world of wealth, in skin care, to Atlanta’s metro area for over seven years. As a clinical aesthetician, Marion works side by side with plastic surgeons, performing skin rejuvenation tactics. In her brief but bountiful career, Marion has already begun to master the art of microderm abrasion, specializing in hyper-pigmentation and the use of microcurrent for pre and post facial surgery. Marion aids the skin in the anti-aging process, helping women to renew their sense of youth. This infused with a healing compassion allows Marion to create an environment of release and relaxation.

Richard Niemtzow, M.D., PhD, MPHis physician and acupuncturist at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA. Due to the nature of the facilities he works at, Dr. Niemtzow has been called upon to develop successful treatment methods for a wide range of chronic and intractable pain and disease conditions not often seen by most acupuncturists. He is an excellent and generous communicator.

Ann Hansen, M.T. has made a very significant contribution to the field of energy medicine.   Over her 15 years of clinical experience, she has helped research and develop effective treatment systems that have significantly benefited patients with many severe health disorders and degenerative conditions.  Using a wide range of microcurrent, light and other energy medicine modalities.   Ann has demonstrated positive results for people suffering from multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, post-stroke, disabling back pain and many other degenerative conditions.  She has often been able to help these patients after all other medical avenues have failed them.


Roger Hill obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and his Master of Business in Finance from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.  He served in the U.S. Naval Nuclear Submarine Service for 20 years and retired with the rank of Commander.  After he retired from the Navy, he joined Corporate America and filled positions as Vice President of Operations for several major manufacturing companies for over 15 years.  Roger has brought a wealth of business and operations experience since he joined Eastwestmed, Inc. in July 2008.
