20 Ways To Beat The Blues and Be Happy

DO THESE THINGS:

Practice expressing and feeling gratitude for all the blessings in your life large and small – even the tiny ones.  This is the greatest spiritual practice

Fake It Until You Make It:  Even if you’re not feeling your best, make a conscious effort to show your best face to others – especially those you are getting to know.  They all have their own problems and don’t want to hear yours.  They like to be around people who help them feel good.

Embrace the Law of Circulation – All the kindness, smiles, acceptance, love and generosity you put out comes right back to you!  Keep investing into the system!

Each person or animal that you encounter each day is giving you an opportunity to practice the Law of Circulation – not because you will get something but just because it is what your heart loves to do.  Practice as often as you can!

If you are concerned about people rejecting or not accepting you practice accepting others unconditionally.  Always give others what you want to receive yourself – works way better than trying to “get” something.

Be bold and do new things you want to do, but have been putting off – especially those that make you use your creativity and talents

Join a spiritual or meditation group and be committed to it.  If it stops working for you then ask Spirit to lead you to one that does and commit to that.  Chanting and meditation are some of the fastest PROVEN ways to transform negativity into peace and clarity.

Imagine yourself at peace, having more fun and being someone that others love to be around.  It is who you really are, just takes some letting go to be there.

Grow plants and get your fingers into soil as much as possible.  If you can create a garden or volunteer at an organic garden you will be healed.

Take appropriate food supplements that balance your brain chemistry and stop eating sugar.  You’d be amazed how much better this can make you feel.

Exercise and walk as much as possible – there is nothing better.  Breathe deeply as you walk.  Expand your physical fitness as much as possible – even if you are in a wheelchair!

Drink more water.

Teach or facilitate groups or classes on what you are great at –  Or join a group and fully participate.

Enjoy your family as much as you can.  Sure it’s not perfect, but these are some of your closest connections.

Whenever something seemingly bad happens, tell yourself that this was the Grace of God saving you from a much worse thing.   And give thanks.

DON’T DO THESE THINGS:

Don’t complain (to others or to yourself).  This is the #1 way to drain your psychic energy and bring yourself down.  But talk to God frequently and pour your heart out about your situation.  That is the right way to express yourself.

Don’t eat much sugar or drink much alcohol.  These are depressants.  An occasional glass of wine with good friends is fine.  Don’t ever drink by yourself.

Don’t worry.  God is taking care of all things.  You are extremely blessed and only have minor aggravations to deal with.  Let it be and invest your energy positively.
